I appreciate there are numerous rumours connecting EFC to various players and without wishing to be seen as second guessing, but rather than the prospect of buying Sidibe, who imo doesn't cut the mustard, spend the £12.7m on down payments in order to secure Carlo and Marko's preferred choices in terms of CB, AM and RW and not run the risk of losing out to other teams.

{Ed002's Note - The problem is that Everton has a major FFP issue on the horizon and they are living beyond their means. They should be looking to try and address that whilst they have relief this summer rather than just spending money they don't have.}

Maybe we should give jonjo kenny a chance at rightback, rather than buy sidibe, who hasn't really played that well for us.

Quick one for you ed do you know more about Everton's dealings and how the club is run than any other club or are you as clued up on all English clubs just the same.

Jonjoe is a long term prospect and has got some really good plaudits surrounding his name from the schalke coaching staff.

Sidibe for me was patchy. Far better then Coleman at his best, but I'm hearing he's not keen to stay on. If he's not keen to strike up something with digne, I'd be more confident going into the season with jjk, with the bonus of saving money in regards to FFP.

Coleman isn't a slouch, so between the pair, should be more then cover to get through a prem season without Europe.
