Been reading a lot by ED02 on this break away league and I have to disagree. Of course it's about money, I like the fact Ed2 supports taking out the corrupt UEFA and FIFA, but it boils down to money, that just hides the clubs real interests.

Is any businessman really thinking I will start a league simply to go against UEFA? No! Premier league money and champions league money goes with it, clubs earn more, players earn more, teams out side of English football seeing all the money pumped in are licking there lips at the $ signs.

No team is doing this for the good of the fans and to take a stand against the governing bodies, no matter how much they try to polish it with the BS. If the so called 'elite' were that bothered about taking control why don't they look for wage caps, clubs all running on same finances?

They don't want it cause it limits them, stops them winning and earning more. Instead they want to kill football, shut clubs down, people out of work, all whilst they earn more under the banner of 'taking back control'.

They want to take back control that much that they want closed doors on CL qualification. Why? Because they won't survive without the money, so again it boils down to money again.

That shower over the park would go all corporate tomorrow if they could get away with it, not for the fans, for the fact it generates more money. I watch champions league with the hope of one day getting there, I wouldn't watch any break away league cause I would have no interest.

Don't know if others would take the same stance. Chances are it would succeed, I personally hope it fails and the clubs involved suffer for there arrogance. And I know you will disagree Ed but it is sheer arrogance and greed.

Any break away league or competition is not for uk or even European supporters/ viewers it's for Asia and especially China, as that's where the new money is now.

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with that.}

Will anyone ever sit down in a press conference before any changes are made to the premier League and explain why and what the reasons are for breaking up the league as we know it and starting up a super League or will it just happen without explaining it to us football supporters of the team's they are leaving behind or causing them to go out of existence will they just do it without any explanation or will they tell the whole truth. ed02?

{Ed002's Note - The concept is not new nor entirely different to the concept of the Premier Leage when it happened originally.}

I for one am not interested in watching super league if it doesn't allow promotion or relegation as there is no chance of new teams joining, also it would take sky money away from our game and kill 90% of football in this country making so many players, coaches, etc unemployed. So why would the PFA allow its members to join, why would the players themselves want to join, as the smaller clubs that they learnt their skills at would be gone. The international teams wouldn't be able to field teams as not enough players meaning Euros and World Cup would go making more coaches and staff unemployed, do you think any european state government, let alone the UK, would allow that amount of lost taxes, VAT on shirts, tickets, etc. How much would taxes on transfer fees alone generate, benefits for those made redundant. Also the infrastructure set up for match days would be obsolete and cost of rebuilding, that's not thinking of the lost jobs in kit manufacture, food industry, construction, why would anybody want it, why, why?
