Will everyone stop talking about money, the club aren’t worried. they’ve just taken Mr Ancelotti on at 11.5 mil a year on a 4 and a half year contact, they have a business plan . Mr Moshiri didn’t get 2 billion by chance and if Mr Usamanov comes on board he’s worth £13 ish billion, so can we stop fretting and talking about cancelling contracts and administration it ain’t happening.
In other news it’s nice to see that Mason might get an England call up hopefully so might DCL with both Kane and Rashford injuries.

I think the general fears are coming from FFP which I'm pretty sure Moshiri and Usmanov can't avoid. I'd agree the general panic is not worthwhile though. Not sure what everyone else thinks but I would be entirely happy seeing us do no incoming business at all this month. Ancelotti needs time to asses the squad and I'd rather see some youth prospects given a chance than buying at inflated prices, offload any players we can and make sure we're in the best position possible come the summer.

I don’t think it’s about that Big C. The owners can be as rich as you want but if we don’t comply with FFP we can be stopped from signing players - like Chelsea (who also have a rich owner) and possibly deducted points.

The problem with us is we have spent a fortune and are not really any better off for it. At this point we need to buy players in the summer and may be struggling to do so because of FFP.

Other clubs that have spent big have generated income through Europe, TV, sponsorship etc. - because we have not improved we have not been on TV as much, not in Europe, and not attractive to sponsors.

Plus I’m sure we will have to account for the new stadium - I’m not sure if that enters FFP - maybe Ed’s could clear that up for us?

Our transfers need to start being hits rather than failures pretty soon:
Signs, Moisse, Sandro, Klasson, Iwobi, Walcott, Bolassi, Naisse, Schniderlin, Lookman - all expensive and are now worth a fraction of what we paid for them or have moved on.

I do however feel we have been unlucky with injuries and look forward to:

Pickford
Sidebe Hollgate. Mina. Digne

Walcott. Gomez. Gbamin. Bernard

Richarlison. DCL.

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea have never had an FFP issue.}

I read they have gone from 60 million profit to 96 million loss at the end of December 2019.

I know it was in the Sun which maybe not best reference but they say Chelsea are in similar position as ourselves.

My mistake.

{Ed002's Note - No, Chelsea do not have any sort ofFFP issue where as Everton do.}

The stadium doesn't affect FFP and as Ed says Chelsea's ban is not for overspending but for breaking rules on signing players.
I can't see us doing much this window, maybe a loan.
The summers transfer business will be based on whether we get europe or of we can shift a few this window.
