As a Red from the outside looking in, i think you could do a lot worse than keeping Big Dunc for five games or so before you make the right appointment. Rushing into it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Furthermore, i’d be very worried if i was a Blue going off some of the names you’ve been linked with. That Pereira fella just seemed to be Silva Mk.2. Emery is a terrible man manager who alienates his team by trying to be too clever all of the time. Ancelotti is far too Laissez Faire about everything and would have the players taking their own training sessions in Stanley Park.

After a succession of meek milled managers with little to no personality, all of whom seemed unable to coach a defence or create any connection with the fans or players, i think you could do a lot worse than Sean Dyche. Benitez would have been perfect but he doesn’t seem to want to come. First and foremost under Moyes (who may not be a bad short term appointment either) , everton had a clear structure and put graft, effort and character before any ill conceived ideas about tippy tappy football, which seems to have been lost as Moshiri goes around spending money like a kid in a sweet shop. Dyche is a big personality with big balls, and may yet change his style with a bit more money. He’d develop a connection with the fans and the players and i think he would be a good fit.

Other good possible contenders could be Gallardo, Ten Hag or Allegri, its just a question as any of them would want to come in this current predicament. Most of the touted replacements seem very uninspired and seem to miss the point as to what is wrong with this team. If i was an Everton fan i would be very worried.

What was the point of that message, other to have a subtle dig at our predicament. 🤔.

Hahaha no lads i was not intending to have a dig, i was legitimately trying to to start a conversation as to who you would all like to become manager realistically as there doesn’t seem to be a general consensus among Everton fans as to who they would like to get. If i wanted to have a dig i would have come on after the result last week but alas i did not.

I don’t think you should write off Moyes taking over until the end of the season though, he could help to restore a bit of identity which seems to be sorely lacking among the players.

I thought it was an honest assessment. Especially from a red. let's face it most of what he said is right.

No reason to have a pop at what the lad thinks, you don't have to be a blue to have an opinion on what's happening at Goodison at the minute. That said, behave with the Dyche shouts, Woolback! He's not what we need at this time mate, he's not what we need at any time in my opinion. Moyes should not even be a consideration either, not enough water under the bridge for a lot of us right now.
There was a time when, after getting rid of a manager for whatever reason, it was exciting to see who we were linked with, who was interested in taking over etc. Now it's becoming tedious and too frequent. You're right, the board need to ensure that they get the right man so I haven't got a problem with Dunc being in charge until they sort out their mess.
