I'm at a loss as to what we do. unless we have a quality replacement then Silva may as well stay as if we make a change for a mediocre short term replacement then it just gives those players that have assisted greatly in getting us into this mess the opportunity to hide a little bit longer.
If he does stay he needs to completely rethink his approach and stop relying on the dross that have been playing to date.
If Southampton win tomorrow and we get the usual result then we are in the bottom 3 and that's going to be very hard to get out of on current performance.
Twist or stick? . both risky and could result in our drop into the championship.
Have we ever been in the relegation zone at Christmas since the PL started? . do we have the squad and manager to react to such a position?
Very worrying times and no real obvious solution. who'd own a football club!

It is repetitious I know but Silva is not up ro the job. It is so obvious why he should not have been appointed in the first place, that it leads to conjecture and suspicion that something is certainly not right at board level. As BrettAngel says have we ever been in the relegation zone at xmas? Why is it deemed acceptable that Martinez is sacked when we were 11th and Koeman after 9 games, while Silva is allowed to carry on. A massive mistake that is going to cost us.

Whether he is just tactically inept or afraid to make positive substitutions for me it is his lack of passion or positivity! Regardless of the result he stands on the sideline like a sulky schoolboy, the odd punch of the air when we score nothing else!
How can he possibly motivate a changing room when we are down and lacking confidence?
