Here's a bit of left field suggestion for our next manager if Silva goes.

Think his name is Jesse marsch from Salzburg. So one well in European league and in champs league. Got a young attacking team (giving Liverpool a game after first 10 mins or so)
Plus he is an American, apparently so communication shouldn't be a problem. Plus he may bring haaland with him, who is going to be a proper goal machine by all accounts. Scored 9 in one game in last years u17 world cup (I think)

Should also say that as soon as I posted that Liverpool scored. Hahaha.

Also marsch is a youngish manager who is not scared to go toe to toe with the top clubs.

Sorry long one. Didn't mean for it to be this long when I started the reply lol.

Could be a good shout. I know nothing about him but I think we have to look outside of the prem and recent prem managers. Either they're not good enough or wouldn't be interested in coming here. That's if we are even looking for a new manager.

Ed025 mentioned recently we have expectations above our station and I hate to say it but it's true. For years we were crying out for an owner/ investor to put some money in. When it happened I think we just expected some notable improvement. We've seen so many teams get success recently with an injection of cash but so many teams have cash now we're basically on a level playing field. With it being spent so poorly over the past few managers we've actually gone backwards.

We all knew Gana and Zouma were important for us but I don't think we knew how much.

Unless we get a big name in I'd give Silva at least another window. I don't think he's to blame, the squad just isn't good enough imo. Definitely not as good as last season so how can we expect to be better than last season.

As I've said a few times, we are probly on the same level as a club as we have been for 20 years but our expectations have gone up due to moshiri and the openness of the league This year (top 2 excluded) but we would still struggle to bring in a Jose or poch.
That is why I mentioned marsch. Ticks most of the boxes for me. Young, up and coming manager, plays attacking football with young players, serial winner (Ok, not the toughest league and they Are 'backed' by red bull) and communication should be fine as he is American.
I haven't watched loads of their games but if we base it on last night (it was the champ league winners away) then it could be Martinez - take 3.
Obviously Silva still here but he is someone they should monitor for if they do get rid.

Jesus Chris. "Could be a good shout.
I know nothing about him". It sounds like Steve Walsh's player purchase policy.

I think you need to learn the definition of could. It means I don't know. Hence the second sentence you have quoted.
