Last season we were worrying about how many goals we were conceding but Marco sorted it. This season there are worries over scoring. I am confident Marco will get it right.

Looks like he favours a 4-3-3 system with Delph giving us a left footed player, will be interesting Smit mate . should give us more in attack Marco will sort it I am sure.

Theres no doubting we will find the goals. There aren't really many personnel changes in that area from last season except a few additions. So it's just a matter of getting the forward line to sharpen up, find a rhythm and try the new guys to see what extra they can bring.

And if let's face it. If Keane was a bit sharper in the moment when we conceded the first goal, we might not be so down this weekend.

It will come. I'm sure of that.

Smit Siva is useless why van you not see it, there is no proof that he is cabable of managing in this league. I can only think he is a personal friend of yours. He should never have been appointed as manager.
Example, we got our best results when Gomez was injured yet we bought him back to the club, totally illogicakl he is a fool.

Gomez slows the game down to much for me and Schneiderlin (when in the mood) is a better passer of the ball. Need the new lads including Delph into the line up from the start, maybe Lincoln could be the starting point. On Mr Silva, his first season didn't reach the heights of Koeman or Martinez. Not advocating yet but how long does he (Mr Silva) get and if whole season what position would be acceptable at season end?

Don't agree to that at all dc if he was that useless I am sure that the powers that be would never had employed him in the first place we have to give the guy time, once Moise and Iwobi gets up to speed and Delph takes over from Gomes the goals will come, don't be so impatient, the last few games last season saw a marked improvement and Marco will have the rest covered for this years push on, he has my full support

Iwobi are up to speed the goals will comes.

DC we all know your thoughts and that you wanted Allardyce to remain.
DFS Silva for me has to beat last seasons points tally by a good few, that way we see progress. I'm not going to pin a league position on it because many different factors are at play.
We could conceivably beat last seasons points total but finish 8th again. That would have to be seen as progress even though the league position doesn't suggest so.

Dc, I know you are not a fan of Silva and steam roll the guy at every opportunity, that’s fair enough when called on, but it would be nice when we get a good result that you actually praise the guy, or is that asking too much.

I am not a fan of Lewin, whether he will be better with another striker alongside him who knows.

Personally I think Lewin is Championship at best, but will certainly praise the guy if he proves me wrong and starts scoring.

No matter what Silva achieves will never change your view on the guy.

You go in hiding when he gets results, then as soon as we lose, you cannot wait to say told you so.

I think it’s time to give Silva some slack.

Can't speak for DC smit, but all I personnely pointed out about Alardyce was he delivers what it says on the can. He was given an 18 month contract - even though the Club apparently only wanted a 'saviour' till the end of the season -. He should have been allowed to see that contract out, there was no rush for Silva, I mean who else wanted him! 8th under Alardyce, 8th under Silva. My view currently, yardstick if you will, is see how we do against Wolves (played us off the park on our own ground) , this time around.

Good post Bignev. Silva hasn't done anything to warrant him getting sacked and for fans to call for his head just shows a lack of understanding of the game in general.

I have to agree with DC for once, over the signing of Gomes but I think you know my views on him.
What did concern me in the game against Villa was the slow build up of play, very predictable so much so it enabled Villa time to get men back in numbers.

THis happened also last season, Coleman seems to have games like this, he is one of the main outlets to begin the attack. swiftly and direct but has this mental block sometimes and for what ever reason lacks the confidence to go forward with purpose that we all know he is capable of doing, that is worrying at this level.
We don’t seem to have anyone from the midfield to go forward and too go pass people at this moment.

Having said this we still should of won the Game too miss the sort of chances in front of the goal is totally unacceptable at this level
I am sure that the Management team at Everton are well aware of the lack of quality in front of goal and the slow tempo at Villa and have every confidence they will put this situation right immediately.

Hopefully they will Uran but immediately, I wouldn't hold your breathe. Silva has had his transition season, nobody can now say this isn't his Team, yet only 3 games in and 1 goal, s
Ays a lot.

Let’s hope he can.

Dfs you can reverse it and say 2 clean sheets and 2 goals conceded in 3 games. Hopefully sidibe, holgate, iwobi, davies and kean all start against lincoln. People are shorts sighted nowadays. The goals will come.

After 3 games into the new season, DFS, really? You said it yourself that he's had a transition season and you're now judging him on 3 games?
