So many negative inpatient peeps on here. Chill ya beans lads. Trust the guys making the decisions as nothing in it for them if nowt happens. Any update on some of dead wood leaving ie bollasie, mirralas, Niasse, Martina and alike? Bit gutted about Zouma but we have decent youngsters like Feeny and Mina has a point to prove after his grace season.

It is just being realistic, many of us are not dreamers like you are Dazza. I guess I am a bit older than you and we get to a point where we dream less and focus on the real world.
Sadly Everton are not going to win anything anytime soon or challenge for the champions league we do not have the squad.
Zaha great player but we need a couple of strikers and another centre half then we may challenge. Cannot see us getting that much business done sadly. Yes I live in hope but expect nothing, hope for some entertainment and a lot of effort at least.

No, DC, it is not being 'realistic' as you have no idea what is going on behind the scenes to improve the squad. You must really, really love it when things don't happen instantly, it gives you something to moan about on here!
The squad had to be trimmed before we buy what we need, we all knew the wage bill needed addressing and that we had players on the books that needed shifting on. This has been happening this summer, there is still two weeks or so of the window to go so people aren't dreamers, they believe that we will strengthen before it closes. Just the opposite end of the spectrum from you and other posters perceived as negative.

I find on Here though mate, if you post anything other than "everything is going to be great" your negative, sometimes things don't turn out great so having an opinion on that surely is acceptable. We won't get zouma, gueye looks like he's off and there is a chance we might not get keen, Zaha, malcolm. So talking about that seems OK to me. Maybe the optimism has been beaten out of some of us, over the years. I'm sure we all want good positive things, but as I said sometimes life's not that kind mate.

With the need to trim the wage bill why did we decide to keep an under performing Walcott on £120k per week in preference to Ademola Lookman?
Oh, he had an attitude problem, not from the lad’s posting he didn’t.
So all the conjecture about him was a load of misinformed holiicks.
