Morning Fellow blues, Ed’s

You said that our owner is getting advice form a third party and that it happened last year, can you shed a little more light on the issue

last year part who was it he wanted that Brands didn’t that caused the problems?

(Apologies I just can’t remember last summer really apart from the good bits)

is the third party advice purely on transfers or is it on other issues regarding the club?

And lastly on a cheeky note from your messages it would appear that you know who this third party is any chance you can name and shame said third party?

Only reason I ask is because personally I think that getting brands across to us was a very good bit of business by Moshiri

Interested to know your thoughts on how good brands is and what may transpire if Moshiri gets his way!

Thanks in advance,

{Ed002's Note - I know the person well but you want National Enquirer if you want to "name and shame" people.}

Brands seems a good choice but it is really to early to judge him but he says the right things. As yet I have an open mind on him as I think it will take three years to decide. So far so good but do not know exactly what his job is?
Who is really in charge of picking players, him or Silva?
I feel that picking players for the first team squad should be down to the manager and it is Brants job to sdign them. Yes he brabts to sugest players but the decision surely has to be silva's.

So if the team succeeds or fails it is down to Silva as someone has to carry the can or get the glory.
As for Moshiri, his advisors seem totally hopeless and Moshiri seems to not understand the game of football sadly.

As I see it, it’s Silvas job to coach. Any squad deficiencies he identifies whilst coaching get put to Brands. I’d guess that it’s one of Brands responsibilities as DoF to recruit the best possible fit to the need within the given budget. All the long maintaining good communication with silva on possible options to fill the need.

I agree with DC that his success in the role is too early to quantify. A little silverware would expedite matters.

This is just media speculation Moshri wanted Brands at the very start, Brands will now run this football club apart from off field stuff, Brands will be the best thing this club have done.
The man is highly respected and I think our first impressions of him is this guy knows what he is doing and vision is very clear.

I think Brands was a positive appointment he may not have proved himself yet to some but he has made some good signings and has managed to get a few of the surplus players out of the door. So far so good.
