Well we are currently on a roll (finally) . After some poor performances/ games we've witnessed this season this is a very welcome change of fortune. The stand out game for me was the fantastic performance against West Ham. I'm over the moon with wins against Chelsea and Arsenal too. But if anything, for me this has highlighted how wasteful we are in front of goal. We should have definitely scored more, I'm not trying to be overly critical as we did enough in each game. DCL yesterday put in a great display and I think he will get better but we need more clinical attackers. Bernard needs to add goals to his game. He had a gift yesterday and still fluffed it. I'd go as far to say I even praised Walcott when he came on and that never happens. I would also like to echo the other posts about signing Gomes and Zouma permanently if possible.

I thought we played well again yesterday and fully deserved a 3 or 4 goal win. On another day the players that missed those chances would take them all so no point in being too critical of them for missing. The whole team again played well and there were no passengers.

Don't believe Bernard's was as easy as you think. Felt the keeper closed him down really quick and gave him little to aim at. Would rather focus on how he read what the defender was going to do to get himself in that position.
The goals will come as the confidence builds. And on a final note it's nice to have a manager who shows passion on the touch line. Long may it continue.

Bernard should have taken the shot earlier but that is being overly critical as it wasn't an easy chance.
It is nice to see Silva celebrating with passion and I will be over the moon when we score in next season's derby and he does a lap of the pitch whilst cartwheeling around like a loon.

Moon walk past Klop would do for me, no half measures.

I don't think DCL missed many chances so talk of a more clinical striker is a little off the mark. The chances we created would have gone in on another day. What pleased me most was the clean sheet again and how we restricted them to very few chances but at the same time created loads ourselves. It is as Silva says. a confidence thing. On another day we could hav scored 5 or 6 against West Ham and 2 or 3 against Arsenal. But teams that do that are few and far between.

We are not suddenly going to sign Aguero or Sterling. So what we need is continual improvement. We have done that this season. We are creating chances and we are at last restricting our opponents to few chances. That gives us a platform to build from. We were like this in the 80's and signed Graeme Sharpe. He looked like DCL and most thought he would not be good enough. He was thought not clinical enough. How it turned out was somewhat different.

To be fair Degsy DCL has come on leaps and bounds but has also missed some real sitters this season.
We need a striker who will score them, we aren't going to have it all our own way in every game.
We need to be more clinical and that is not just DCL.

To be fair degsy, Sharps derby goal that not even the camera could keep up with lacked any sort of clinical technique. (There’s no better goal that I can remember in a royal blue jersey)

I have to say I don't remember him missing too many sitters but maybe that's my blue brain in action?

I did say clinical attackers and I wasn't singling any particular player out really (just the Bernard chance stuck in my head) although it seems everyone thinks I'm on DCL's case, I'm not. If I was to look to a player, it would have been Sigurdsson as he seemed to have the most wasted chances that I remember. As I said though we did enough to get the wins and the points on the board and I was very happy.

With regards to the final league position there's a lot of work still to be done. We have Man Utd and Spurs still left to play I think the chances of 7th are optimistic at best but I would love to be very wrong on that. The summer transfer window should be quite interesting with the ins and outs.
