Hi Ed's, with Man Utd "looking" to sell Lukaku, what about a poll to see who'd take him back?

{Ed033's Note - For a poll, please send a question and voting options.

The problem with Rom is that he isn't as good as he thinks he is. At a club chasing for honours that has players of better ability, he seems to be like a fish out of water. When he is at a club that isn't fighting to break into the big 6, when he is the main man, he looks a better player. I doubt we would be in for him but I would take him back if the chance cropped up. He is a lot better than the forwards we have, knows the club very well and is an established premier league player.

I think whoever told him to pack on so much muscle ruined him look at his physique when he signed for us to his shape now, he can't move like he used to.

No idea of your ability as a player (now or in your youth) bluepotato but Lukaku in concentration mode is a very very good CF, problems arise when he has to come back to retrieve, then the ball bounces off. We have currently the players to bring the ball forward, what we need is a Rondon or Lukaku to hit that ball on a run.

johny1989, I would not normally say this. I am a 69 year old man, no bragging but fact, daily I do 3 x 10 chinups (to chest) , 3 x 50 pressups, 3 x 50 situps and stretches. That is my daily, 4 times a week I go to the gym. Lukakus muscle buid is nothing to do with his movement as long as with that build the movement exercises go in hand.

Through out my life I have come across comments and criticism such as yours Johny but the fact is not all of us are built the same or indeed mentally think the same. I have Arthers in my hips now, but once warmed up I can still run and at 60 was still doing 6 minute miling. Lucky is what age, and you are killing the lad for putting on muscle. Get a grip lad.

Lukaku is a cracking player. Strangly though, often mentioned but never picked up on is his main ability. The lad coming in from the right wing is unplayable.

Not entirely sure what my level of playing has anything to do with me giving my judgement on Rom, DFS? I think he would do a job for us, my last post explains why. But he does seem to think he's a better player than he actually is, I think a lot would agree with that, he hasn't really set Old Trafford alight since joining them has he? Maybe johnny has hit the nail on the head, Rom has bulked up a bit too much of late, might be something to that for all I know.

Well done on keeping fit ill be sure to post your medal soon as i give a flying u no what. What has your body got to do with roms? before he put all the muscle on he was fast and played off the last man and it worked now he's got a lot more mass and trys to be the big target man and its not his game. at no point did i "kill the lad" for bulking up just suggesting he should have stayed a bit more mobile and he would not be stuggling. But as usual u take my words and twist them into some crap to support your own agenda.

I'd take Rom back because we've never replaced him so why not bring him back and have that threat back that we currently don't possess. We have technically gifted players going forward now but they have nobody to aim for. The balls that Digne puts in are wasted by nobody running onto them. Lukaku is a top quality Centre Forward so if we want to move forward and seriously challenge then we should be going for a player of his quality to do the job that no other player in our current squad can do.

I'd take Lukaku back, don't think he would want to return though.

No, we have to move on, never the same when they go back.

I think he saw us as a stepping stone to better and bigger things. I can't blame him either as we've gone backwards as a club. To me he doesn't look like the same player that left us. I don't think he's any better either. Still has that amazing first touch though! I would definitely take him back as he scored vital goals for us and as mentioned previously we have not replaced that factor. I very much doubt that he will ever be an Everton player again though.

re reading your post ducks and its hypocritical u say not everyone is built the same then go on to say roms sluggish games have nothing to do with his physique because u do 10 chin ups a day? that might work for you but it very obviously doesn't work for rom does it?

I would have him back. The guy scores goals and that is what we desperately need. Just don’t see it happening though.

I'm sorry I know it's personal opinion and I respect that but I think anybody who would reject the opportunity for Lukaku to come back is as mad as a box of frogs.

Chances are he is the best we could probably get but don’t think it will happen Utd won’t want to make a loss that’s for sure regardless of form.
