Despite a much improved performance, largely due to the greater effort put in by majority of the team, I still have concerns with Marco's selection and tactics.
Zonal marking has been more than fully covered on this site so little more to add.
Apart from selecting Walcott I felt the line up was much better.
What I can't get my head around is the lack of tactical awareness surrounding the substitutions. My thinking is that subs should be made in order to change the game in our favour. So having rightly dropped Sigurdsson and Richarlison MS brings them on and guess what they continued to be totally ineffective.
It would have been smarter to switch Bernard to AM and brought on Lookman and Tosun for Gomes and Walcott.
Seems hope springs eternal through the eyes of both Silva and Moshiri.

Lookman wasn't in the squad Smith but agree think there needs to be a plan b and as for Walcott if he starts on sat it will be a joke.

Lookman not in the Squad, yet does more in a 15 min cameo than Walcot does for 75 mins.

Lookman injured, Maybe? I think we will see him and Ricky on wings to use for counter attacking on Sat.

Lookman should be on the bench but for once I agree with not starting him, not against city. If uninjured he needs to be there against Watford and starting imo.
