Decent piece on us from Phil mcnulty on the BBC. Just quick question for ed2. Phil suggests it may be time for brands to take over the running of the whole football side of the club. With the bad advice moshiri was getting and his lack of football knowledge, do you think this is a good idea to let brands control the whole football side? And, will it happen?

{Ed002's Note - As Director of Football BRands role is primarily to do with transfer policy and dealing with transfers. I am sure he would like to take control of the youth system as well but after that I am not so sure he would want to be dealing with the entire football side of the club - there would be many distractions which could weaken his main focus. Another option would be to have an Arsenal type set up where they have a DoF who is an administrator and a Technical Director (a Brands type role). So even though it is a good idea, it would need other changes to work. I don't see Mr Moshiri changing his advisor any time soon.}

Thanks ed. If moshiri keeps his advisor then it looks like we could be a club in turmoil for a long time.

{Ed002's Note - The issue to me is Silva and the lop sided squad.}

I agree on Silva and unbalanced Squad. If Jim White is to be believed, Silva is here for the long term. My hope is firstly, that things improve starting saturday, secondly if no improvement, my hope is Moshris' comment to White had a big if in it.

{Ed002's Note - Moshiri will ceratinly not wanting to pay off another manager. The club are still paying most of the wages - around 80% - to him until this coming summer. And of course SA is still on the books. Regardless, if it is not working out for the club it is essential the situation is resolved - and if that means replacing him that needs to happen.}

Horrendous situation. I love this Club but helpless. 80 percent! You mean to Sam or Koeman?

Koeman, if he got a job we had to supliment his wage to what he was on at us so he took Holland job for buttons and we pay him. I may be wrong but that's my take on it at the time.

Forget about Koemans and Allardyces wages. The money is irrelevant compared to the wages we are paying to the players they bought in that don't fit in to our squad now.

{Ed002's Note - I guess Everton has so much money it doesn’t matter.}

As you always say Ed. We don't need to confuse ourselves with the money side of things.
