They can't keep spending just for the sake of it Graham, that's one of the reasons we're in a mess. And they can't offload players if no-one wants to buy them.

Ed25 I echo that. let's get a Kendal boost. Graham, a little commonsense is perhaps now coming from our DoF and Mr Moshri, recognised that we 'splashed' the cash on players and put them on huge wages and long contracts. Their Clubs really saw us coming. Result is we cannot sell them on without a big loss plus why should they go, just sit here take the money and party on down. We have strikers but without a run, how the heck can they prove anything. Tosun when he comes on you can see a player there, same with DCL. Lookman is a case in point. Mr Silva has his admirers (as a coach) I am not one.

Are we not desperate for a striker then, or do we hope what we have will improve, because what I've seen over the past 4 or 5 weeks, there's no hope, whilst a appreciate clubs are reluctent to sell, if Moshri wants success at our club, he may have to spend big, or we a middle of the table club, not good enough i'm affraid COYB.

{Ed025's Note - we do need a striker graham or for tosun or DCL to step up to the plate, the problem we have though is that we dont actually create enough chances imo and thats a major factor mate..

I’m sure that Tosun would step up to the plate - if given the chance! There’s definitely a player there. He scored some good goals in his first season, but simply hasn’t had a run in the side to consolidate that. Same with DCL, although he’s not the player he will end up, not just yet. He’s great in the air, something we are lacking.

Give them both a chance I say.

I’m actually getting fed up with us playing Richarlison up top. I’d much rather go with Tosun and let Richarlson fight for his place on the left.

I'm with you ed025 we don't create enough for either Tosun or DCL when they play up top. I think that's why he plays Ricky there. When he was on form he was scoring from nothing or average balls in as he wasn't really expected to be playing as a forward. Once the opposition new he was the main man they just sit on him and don't let him get anytime on the ball to turn or run at them.

{Ed025's Note - thats right sa, we are lacking quality in the final third and a bit of craft and guile, siggy has got us some goals but the rest of his game has been seriously lacking and i think a rest for him would do him good mate..
