yes 3 points at the weekend but still not convinced. looking forward my biggest concern is that if this teams starts to play decent football this year, next year we will have to start from scratch again - Zouma will go back, Bernard and Richarlson if showing the form they have been will have bigger clubs sniffing about, Mina once fit if again shows decent form has the buy back clause, Gomez will go back.

Gomez won't go back, might not stay with us but Barcelona dnt want him, they also don't want mina, I also think richarlison and bernard will give us next season aswell, but if they go ots because they have been amazing all season which will do me fine.

Just trying to look forward as we have been told that we are in a "project" with Moshri / Brands and Silva.

We are not going to win the league, not the haribo cup and a slim chance of the FA cup so have to try and see what can happen in the years ahead. seems to be we are a stepping stone for players and some of the current squad may well be on their way if this season is a mid table finish.

I think you are being way too pessimistic goodison. Other clubs may come sniffing around, it doesn't mean we have to sell.

I'm not sure what you are saying we should do then goodison.
Are you saying we should sign poorer quality players in the hope they will stay longer or are you afraid by buying the likes of Richarlison and Bernard, getting to be a side capable of winning things, and then losing them to the better 'sides'.
I know which decision I would make
Man City were in a similar situation when they were bought out. A lot of players came in and then moved on to 'better' clubs and were replaced, mostly with stronger replacements. Quite a few players stayed and have become legends there. You have to speculate to accumulate

COYB NSNO.

{Ed001's Note - name one player that joined Man City and publicly stated they were doing so to move on to a 'bigger' or 'better' club? You are not in a similar situation to them at all. Ludicrous comment.}

ED001
Are you and ED002 on a wind up mission today?
If anybody is being ludicrous its you 2
Are you saying that players have never used other clubs as stepping stones to get to Barcelona, or Real Madrid or a Man U? If you are you both need your heads tested.

So what if Richarlison is ambitious enough to feel that he can one day play for them. He's being honest which is more than a lot of others. i
Isn't it sxactly the same as Hazard saying he wants Real Madrid as they are the best team in the world, even after him winning the title with Chelsea or Mahrez wanting to leave Leicester for Man Utd, no sorry, he changed his mind to Man City

Its up to us to get to a standard where he doesn't want to move. For some players we won't. For others we will. It's called life or am I a ludicrous cretin?

{Ed001's Note - hang on no one has said that stop being idiotic. Try reading what is being said and take off those blue glasses first so you can actually understand what has been said. Why don't you try and understand what is said, rather than whining on like a 5 year old about something completely unrelated because you don't like what is being said.

Not one comment by Ed002 was anything other than saying what Richarlison said, yet you are all attacking him and then trying to point to completely unrelated cases to try and make yourselves all feel better about the fact a player has openly said you are not a big club and he is joining with the expectation of going to a big one in the future.

The person you should be annoyed with is Richarlison, because he has openly disrespected a club he should be delighted to have the chance to play for. Instead you are all desperately attacking Ed002 for some reason.}

It's you Ed001 and Ed002 calling people morons or saying we are whining like 5 year olds.

All everyone is saying to both of you is that footballers have used other clubs as stepping stones ever since football was invented.

It's you 2 that have your knickers in a twist because Richarlison, you say, has come out and said Everton is a stepping stone. I think you are misquoting him a bit because he also talks in the same interview that he want to stay and win trophies at Everton. Whatever - I happen to respect his honesty

Why you both have to reduce. it to insults is quite honestly beyond me unless its another wind up but please - you can wind up all you like but leave the insults out of it eh?

{Ed001's Note - again reading what you want to read. I give up. I never quoted anything, but you carry on because I am done bothering. You are blinkered as you show in all your posts. You live in a fantasy world and constantly attack anything that doesn't agree with you. No point talking to people like you, you are fine to insult those with a different viewpoint but instantly offended by others. You don't want other opinions, just to hear things that reinforce your optimistic fantasy view of Moshiri pumping in billions to win you the league in a couple of years. Anyone that disagrees you will attack and attack until they are driven off the site. Well done, you are the epitome of the Trump world we live in.}

{Ed001's Note - I told you, this is done. Not interested in what you have to say, you clearly are just wasting everyone's time.}

I'm not quoting anyone here but my take is that I love my club dearly but I'm not deluded ( I'm no way calling anyone on this site deluded btw ) . We are not a champions league club, couple of years away from that imo, but players come and go. I personally, given the chance to put the royal blue shirt on would mean i never left, but Ricki, Bernard, Mina and so on aren't blue. Some nay fall in love with the club and give it a year or two more than planned but in all honesty let's just enjoy them while they here and cheer em on. If huge clubs come in for them then they have been of great benefit to the club on the pitch. Just my take on these arguments that are failing this site at the moment ( again I'm not bashing fans or Eds about argument bit )
