been on the Chelsea page to ask how Ross is getting on and I am quite shocked at the hate towards us and the view that they think us and West ham are on the same level, am I delusional or are we a step up from west ham?

Chelsea fans hate everyone johny. Just look at the league standings for the last few years and that’ll tell you where we and West Ham sit in relation to who’s the better club.

Not talking about size or history of club here, but ability and quality of current squad.

But yes I think we are a similar level to West Ham. I think we need to be realistic about our current situation and position at the moment. I see us, West Ham and Leicester as the teams who should be fighting for 7th. That's where we are right now in my eyes - and that's the size of our current challenge to get close to top 6.

But I believe now we have the right owner and structure in place to build and improve - if MS sticks around longer than his previous clubs!

I live down south and there are loads of West Ham fans and friends of mine who have always openly said that Everton are a better club than West Ham and of course love it when they beat us 3-0!

That said, this season there is a lot of optimism surrounding west have with their new signings. We discussed this a couple of weeks ago though and agree that it’s only a matter of time before the owners piss pellegrini off and he leaves the club my mutual consent.

I don't hate Everton boys I just don't think you're that big of a club anymore. Obviously have huge history like West Ham do but right now you're competing with them to finish as the best of the rest outside the top 6. You've been very poor for a number of seasons now along with West Ham but both making decent signings and will be interesting to see how you do.

I suppose it depends on what length of time you look back at. A couple of years, then we are miles ahead.
10 years, then we are miles ahead, 30 years, then we are miles ahead.

Ok, I'm struggling to find a time period that they consistently did anything better than us.
