I’m going to be a Debbie Downer here and say I think we’ll get a draw at Wolves (at best) . Even if we were to sign a CB this week I can’t see whoever that is starting next Saturday. They wouldn’t have had enough time to bed into the team. Also the communication between our guys seems to be off (e. g. players running into each other on numerous occasions) . I would guess throwing someone new straight in would only make that worse.

To be fair C toffee, most of the players Wolves have bought are older than our defence.

See my other posts Ed. I agree that the spine is woefully weak and either too young or too old. Quality has to include the right age group. Does that make sense? Some kids are brilliant. Some older players still have some attributes. But players at center back should be 23- 30 as a maximum. BJU will tell you I have been saying it for years! lol but he will tell you I have no blood vessels left too which is clearly wrong!

{Ed025's Note - the top and bottom of the spine is fine degsy, the middle 2 need replacing and thats in abeyance mate..

Hi Degsy just wondered if you are the same degsy that used to post on here a few years back when I used to be a regular contributor to these discussions. There was also a contributor called wizzard of osman. Who was a good poster but has since disappeared too. Anyway I got fed up with the personal attacks that would follow when I gave a point of view so while still reading the posts I gave up posting myself. But as you are all aware Blues is what we are it’s at the core of our being and it’s difficult when you feel something about our beloved club and feel you need to share you thoughts with people who love the blues too. So you find yourself posting again. It’s not surprising that some people think differently to you or me or any of us. We all need to take a moment before we reply to a post and unless it’s constructive or funny or just a different point of view then maybe don’t post . Banter is good and opinions are individual that may be shared but let’s not be personal about each other. We are blues we are evertonians we stand together COYB
Sorry went on a rant but the gist is let’s give stick to the other lot and not each other.

Wolves are a cracking side and play some really good football. They beat sides last season at will and just press and press. Between now and the 11th Silva had better discover the loaves and fishes trick and quick.
