Another painful watch that all. Another validation of my opinion that far to many of this team are either not good enough / anymore whichever spin you want to put on it. I would have loved us to try x2 CF rather than x2 DM’s but that’s up to MS and I lay no, zilch nada blame at his door for what we have seen so far. It took Valencia 4 Seasons to recover from Koeman I hope it takes us less!

With all your connections Ed025 - do you have by vague ideas which positions are imminently being bolstered?

{Ed025's Note - i dont really have connections per se reason, i get stuff from time to time but its a new regime now and its getting harder to glean information, defence is the main priority i would think and they will be looking to bring in one or tho before the deadline mate..

Defence a priority is an understatement. Who knows the Everton hierarchy thinking but if it is obvious to the 30 odd thousand that defence is our weakness, why would our Board deem it a priority to make our first signing a forward. It beggars belief that a guy who cost 11 mill and had an appalling second half of season at Watford is now sold to Everton for an eventual 50 mill.

Hopefully after last seasons debacle we will take things easy in this pre-season transfer market. Brands is not a run away type manager and did, 5,6,8 years respectively at his last clubs. They seemed happy with his work so I expect us to be the same. He knows what is required and will be calling the shots. Silva working the coal face with the troops. If we get of to a bad start so be it. I just hope the board give them the time required.

We were never in danger of going down last year and they panicked. We are at a slight disadvantage in that we need to trim the squad to get others in, and that those we do not want, might not be wanted by other clubs either. I think we need to see at least 15 league games under our belt before we can start making judgement. I am sure after 15 games we will be in a good position. To many negative posts already writing us off. I am more concerned about what is happening off the pitch than on it to be honest.

I agree totally with NickB57. My posts at the moment are negative up to a point, I am only typing my opinion as do others. I do not wish to be confused with Boo boys, plane flying element of our support.
