Everton player saves Liverpool player from 4 years of a nations hatred. It really is a funny old game.

Not because he is a Liverpool player but prior to that also. I have never rated Henderson and still do not, I just do not get it. As he walked up to take the penalty I put my head in my hands, just knew what would happen. Simply not good enough.

{Ed025's Note - to be fair ktf who would you replace him with?, i have been his biggest critic over the years but what are the options?...dyer is bloody awful and alli has not done a thing, on a side note how horrible were them columbians, dirty stinking cheats the lot of them..

I think Henderson is underrated. I think in effect he captains England. His ball to put Rose in illustrates that he is capable of more subtlety than he is given credit for. However, he should not take penalties. Hoddle was right. Henderson's body shape telegraphed where his kick was going.
I think Dier's name is probably misspelt. I thought Lingard was poor. Alli's tournament should be over. He is not fit.
I think Stones is not getting the credit that he is due.

I don’t really post much and know it’s not Everton related but I thought I’d join in. You missed out Raheem ‘give the ball away’ Sterling Glennk. I’d swap him for Rashford every day of the week at the moment mate, poor poor form. I 100% agree with your Henderson being underrated comment though. I hate Liverpool with a passion but Henderson deserves a lot more credit than what he gets both for club and country. Solid player with passion in abundance.

He's a very immature person for his age and experience. His crying when Ballotelli took the penalty and things like last night getting involved in the pettiness then getting booked last night means he let's his emotions rule his head.

He thinks that if he acts all big and puffing out his chest it makes him look hard when instead, and as a leader should, keep the players calm show a level head.

He's not a captain at all but Kane certainly is.

Saying all that in the middle as ED says there isn't anyone else there and Dier is awful.

{Ed025's Note - dier is dire john..

There were 2 teams on the pitch Ed. One was trying to play football and the other was trying to stop them playing football. if FIFA cannot see and control this type of cheating, then football has lost in its efforts to entertain.

{Ed025's Note - i agree degsy, they were nothing but thugs and VAR should be used properly and get them louts banned from international football..

I also think that whilst excellent Kane is overhyped. I can't praise his penalty taking highly enough especially after the wait that the opposition protests inflict on him. I think he is a first class finisher but not all that in general play. As I say, excellent but not the all time great that commentators would have us believe.

So true that mate, they hype Kane up but then also miss the fact that if John Stones was on penalty duty he’d also be leading the race for the golden boot lol. All that being said though. c'mon ENGLAND 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿.

He missed 3 months of last season and finished top scorer, has been top scorer the last three years and is top scorer in this competition so far. On top of that he has scored 21, 25, 29 and 30 in the last four years in the EPL, 9 goals in 10 games in the Champions League and 7 goals in 11 games in the Europa League.

Hardly overjoyed in fact more understated.

I was personally talking about this World Cup BJU. Plus my brothers long term spurs fan so I don’t hear the end of it.

What about the Colombian Manager (I think) shouldering Sterling as he was subbed then telling 4th official Sterling nudged him. Unbelievable childish antics from a man in his 60’s. Someone from England dugout should have throttled him or at least challenged him as refs done nothing.
