Is it paper talk or do we we reallyr want to get rid of lookman. I can't believe it. Surely they have mistaken him for Bolaisse!

I cannot believe for a single moment anyone in their right mind would look to offload him. I'm in my 40s now and been bludgeoned into pragmatism by the attrition of life, so appreciate the need to drastically cut the wage bill, but to dispose of such a prospect would be both maddening and madness: on the rare occasions he's been given the chance to work the ball he's been electric, and now further vindication via a successful stint in the Bundesliga.

My only real fear (given everything Brands and Silva have said about the need to work with young players / the intent to first appraise the entire squad) is Lookman himself might want out, disillusioned by his treatment thus far.

{Ed002's Note - Lookman wants to play and he won't necessarily get that opportunity at Everton. The loan has worked out really well for him and there is interest from several clubs.}

Have no idea why Lookman was not given a decent chance under Koeman and Allardyce, perhaps Allardyce in particular was worried about consistency and its sustainability. We have a new Management/ Coaching staff in situ now and they are currently (probably for weeks prior) assessing and discussing on each players ability. I would be surprised if Lookman does not rate highly on their list, if not, I can only assume (guess) there are other factors involved.
