Question for any of the eds, who takes charge loaning out our youngsters? I'd imagine that it is a combination of people, possibly Rhino as U23 manager, maybe even Sam and then Walsh having an input.
If that is the case then how have none of them realised that Connor Grant had already played for two teams this season yet still loaned him out to a team he isn't allowed to play for? Whichever way you look at it, it is a bit sloppy from behind the scenes. Too many cooks springs to mind and is indicative of where are troubles have stemmed over the last few months. Someone needs a rollicking over this but who will carry the can?

{Ed002's Note - Ultimately Walsh.}

If that's true bluepotato it's one of the most idiotic things we've ever done, and I've seen some stupid stuff in my 30+ years being a blue.

{Ed001's Note - it is true, though Plymouth tried to take the blame for not checking it out. Obviously didn't want to upset their chances of taking players on loan in the future by upsetting Everton as the blame has to reside at the door of Everton for not realising. He is their player, they should keep track of these things, not Argyle.}

bluepotato, this whole debacle became worse because as oft commented EFC (Mr Moshri/ Koeman) really wanted Mr Walsh - the Scout - I have no firm idea of the ins and outs but I suspect Mr Walsh would not come unless he got a job upgrade. Again in my view that upgrade has proven to much. If we wish (ed) to go down the DoF route, isn't it commonsense to appoint someone with experience and knowledge of that role. You just cannot sanction or bring in 7, 8, 9, players and shoehorn them into a consistent winning Team overnight. It should have been a patient and gradual process. It is truly a very sad situation, we are not going to finish higher than 9th unless something miraculous happens and unless things improve dramatically I fear for us sliding back down again.
