I cannot believe there are people who would rather see Sam managing this club than Fonseca. Staggering.

I cannot believe there are people who believe that ANY manager could do anything with this unbalanced squad. Staggering.

Because we are the current worst team in league and we need someone to come in quick and stamp there authority on these players, we kno nothing about Fonsceca and is too risky in our situation where is Allardyce is a better choice than anyone at getting us out of this mess, people have to put there pride aside for one minute, and what ever your feelings towards him are he is the best man for the job we need to stay up simple as that forget about styles and who we should buy in January we are entering a tough festive period now and appointing a manager who does not know the league going into Christmas is ludicrous.

{Ed025's Note - i know what you are saying metz and if he does a number and gets us safe then it may justify his appointment, i want to know how long his contract is and how lucrative the reward of our saviour is before i dance naked in the street over him mate...2 and a half years and 40 pieces of silver i suspect..

I am struggling to understand all the doom and gloom. OK we are in a bad position at present, but there are 26 games left. Are we forgetting where we want our club to be and who we want to compete against? For the sake of 3-4 more games, if that’s how long it takes to get the right man who, will rejuvenate the squad, build on what we have and, take us to where we originally wanted to be, I am all for it. Get a mid-table manager and that’s where we will stay. Already others have said that we will be left with mediocre players the likes that Allardyce brings in, who won’t be able to step up to the level we need to go forward when he leaves and, hey ho here we go big money spent to improve the team again. We do have good players, we do have young talent emerging, we have the right blend of age, we just need one or two more to make us complete, but we need someone who can bring them on together, not destroy what we have by bringing in thugs with not much talent. Where are Leicester since Walsh left? 9th. Where are Allardyce’s last two clubs? 18th and 20th. I don’t want us to be 19th. This must be my worst ever period as an Evertonian. I have followed them through the mid to late 60s, through the wilderness years of 70-84, spent countless amounts of money going home and away, seen us compete to break into the tops 6 in the PL, but I have never seen us the laughing stock of the football world. It makes me feel sick with what’s going on.
