I see all the latest news in the rags is that Rhino will not be our next manager, I for one am happy about that decision, and Farhed may give him the no 2 spot, managing the under 23s is one thing but just do not feel he is ready to step up yet, if Farhed was going to give Unsey the job he would have done so after his meeting on Thursday, my opinion only folks.

{Ed025's Note - in my view GB they should give unsy 8 games or so to see how it goes, then if the job is too big for him then go for tuchel mate, the one thing about rhino is that he does get the supporters and the club so i would not be averse to him getting the job full time to be honest..

I would personally go all out for Benitez with the understanding that Rhino is his no 2. I think he would learn a lot from him and prepare him for the top spot once the new stadium is up and running.

I wouldn't complain if Rhino got it, I just don't want him to fail and get shoved out of the club.
If we could prep him and then hopefully when he gets the job he can have it for a long period and then move upstairs.

Agree GB, I think he needs to be shown the ropes by working under the next manager before flying solo at some point in the future. Stig, that just your opinion or do you know BK and have been privy to a conversation between him and FM?

That's what I am really trying to show mates, we all have different Ideas none of us has a clue who will be our next manager of that I am sure, I really enjoy the posts on here excellent may it long continue, as I said earlier is all about opinions, so let's get behind who ever takes over I know I will.

Well I for one hope that Unsworth is very successful and gets the job full-time. I know that the odds are low for this to happen and the ideal situation is that we get an experienced manager and David becomes his second in command. The worst case scenario (at least for this season) is that we get another manager and Unsworth leaves the club to manage another club. Can't see him wanting to spend the rest of his managerial career managing our U21 side.

Ed025 - Tuchel may well be a good choice as coach, but I’d be concerned about his man-management record. I’ve read/ heard that he can be overly abrasive with the players and he had a strained relationship with his previous club’s board. Our most successful manager was Howard Kendall and he had man-management skills par excellence. That’s especially important if we want to bring young players into the first-team and if we want to keep the first-team squad all motivated.

{Ed025's Note - tuchel has a good record of bringing youth through bobby which is one of the reasons i like him, he had a problem with the dortmund board due to promises they broke but i think the stories of alienating players has been over the top shall we say, he is strict and does not suffer fools gladly and his brand of football is attacking and exciting which is why he is my personal choice, but if rhino gets the gig i will be happy with that mate..
