So we wanted £100m for Lukaku and took £75m so now Swansea want £50m for Gylfi so following the logic £37.5m should secure him 😂.

Building a side is a major task, and knowing when to walk away from a deal is very much part of that, Gylfi is a very good player, but, at almost 28, 32 million is all the money, and then some.

For 50 million, we could virtually have our pick, of some of the best creative midfield talent in the world, ones about 22-23 with sell on options. At the end of a 4 year contract, we would get little or nothing back on a man of 32, that amounts to about 20 million per season, given his contract of a reported 135,000 per week, good, but not that good.

Totally agree jcw, goalposts keep getting moved, I would say mid £30-34 max, when it gets towards £40 then £50 Million, it's time to walk away and look elsewhere, however we made it clear we want £100 million for Lukaku, we did not then say £110 million, then £120 million so from the start Swansea should have stuck with the price they set out, now using Leicester to tempt more money, walk away Everton if they do not accept between £32-34 million.

I would say forget the price as its irrelevant to is and in today's market the price is set by the value of the player to the selling club, not what us as fans think somebody is worth using illogical logic.
