Morning all.

Just read this on news now that Chelsea haven't revealed any signings (Post linked with Lukaku) because they are waiting for their kit sponsor with Adidas to expire and their new one (Nike) to begin and then they can do all the revealing of the players in the new strips.

It's an interesting point. Brands are very sensitive about shirt launches and I can see why deals may need to wait. But I don't think this is the reason they haven't announced Lukaku yet, as I think they just haven't sorted the transfer yet. Maybe transfer fee is still an issue?

I think it will happen, but don't believe their shirt release is the reason.

I've got a funny feeling he is staying now Ace, got to admit would be nice with him and Sandro up front.

Possibly Degs, yes. And that's a nice combo indeed. I also think he wants Chelsea so bad that he'll turn down others. Then might well stay another season. Or am I just wishful thinking?

He could stay another season to drive his price down as he will only have 12 months left on his deal, agents ain't stupid and they make players decisions for them. If we want £100m with 2 years left come January that price is lower as the contract ticks down, then as a club if you leave it until that summer with only 12 months remaining, you play roulette as if you don't get him sold come the following January the player is free to discuss a deal with foreign clubs. I reckon the deal will be struck at around the £65m mark with potential add ons and sell on clause, just my opinion like.

unless i missed something has lukaku ever said he wants to leave? i don't want to sign a new contract is no way to define his immediate future i think he will leave but would not be suprised if he has intended to stay another year all along and its poss koeman is aware of this. but like i say he probs will go cause of the links to other teams. kinda wanna see the back of him tho if i'm honest wanna see players who want to play for efc and the rom saga is defining in one way if nothing else. he wants to play elsewhere.

I sort of get what you are saying BlueGray87 but there is one vital thing you have missed out, that is the greed of the agent. I don't know how much his agent charges in commission but I will wager it is between 10% and 20%. Now 20% of £100m is a massive £20m where as this time next year sell for £50m and it is worth £10 to him. Never underestimate the greed of the agent when advising the player on what is "best" for them.

He might not have said he wants to leave but he has said staying at Everton isn't really an option which amounts to the same thing in my opinion.

I think he's gone and yes I am gutted. But I hate to say it Everton fans are not helping the situation. I read a report regarding Lukaku posting a sarcastic twitter about playing on a different 5 a side pitch with no Chelsea crests obviously it wasn't good towards us fans. Well the reply comments from the Everton fans let's just say you wouldn't show your mother. We are giving absolutely no reason at all for him to change his mind. We brought it on ourselves.
I'm using we because we are all tarnished under the same brush.

I think his agent charges more that 20% judging by the kerfuffle with the Pogba agent fee that was under investigation.
And to be honest right now I would like to see Lukaku gone, I thank him for his service to our club but would prefer we move on from the circus that surrounds him and move the club forward concentrating on football matters!

He should read some of the Chelsea fans tweets about what they think of signing him because some of them aren't pretty either Mowfee.

Mowfee82 even though I am totally 100% against any sort of abuse towards players. We did not bring this on ourselves.

Lukaku brought it all on himself. He has never done anything to squash any rumours. Look at Coleman, within one or two days of being linked to Utd he came out straight away and said I'm going nowhere. Pity he's one in million in regard to football players nowadays.

Please not Sandro cannot see what you all see in him, just not for the prem league.

NBTB right there that's exactly what I mean. You say you're against abuse, but literally in the next paragraph you're saying he brought it all on himself. So you're literally ok-ing it. However he's constructed his business by talking to the media playing on a football pitch with Chelsea crests. He doesn't deserve to have his twitter account over run from stupid Everton fans hurling profanities at him. If he goes I'll be gutted but you know what. I'm still breathing I'll get over it. End of the day it's a game for us and a job for football players. People take it too far.

Oking it, not really. I don't agree with it. It is wrong to give too much abuse. There is a line that is broken too often.

However at the same time I feel no sympathy for Lukaku as he brought it on himself. I don't see Everton fans hurling abuse at Jags, Baines, Barry or pretty much any other player. Maybe Barkley a little. Why is that Mowfee82?

Its because these two players have shown little respect for the club recently. Especially Lukaku. So therefore even though I'm not for the abuse I'm not going to condone it as in my opinion they brought it on themselves.

Barkley not as much. He is a little confused imho but Lukaku wanted out of Everton before he even became an Everton player.
