Baring in mind we are not great on the 1st game of the season I think having to play in the EL may be a great benefit in getting us ready for some hard fixtures. On the positive front these fixtures will impress on the board how essential it will be to get any transfers done early in the window. If we don't want to be bottom of the PL after 5 games.

On the upside we'll have had a couple of competitive games by then in the Europa so hopefully we'll be sharper than them in the first few games.
