I know he played for Everton but I'm sorry I'm not with all the happy birthdays Gazza got, I know he has a illness but the man got a second chance at life and gave everybody the two fingers, there are thousands of people that through no fault of there own deserved that treatment and never got it. Gary lineker wishing him a happy birthday and saying stay healthy? Really I have no sympathy for people like that when your warned your warned sorry rant over.

Don't think that's very fair mate people deal with mental health and addiction very differently, yeah there's many people who might not of got the same support as Gazza has had but to have a go at him is bang out of order, no one knows what's going through someone elses head.

Never judge a man until you have walked in his shoes, alcoholism is not only an addiction it is an illness which due to its availability is the easiest vice for people to turn to in times of need,

Agree with the above posters. We are on a time when the world is trying to improve how it sees mental illness, more so in men. Gazza had various issues and turned to drink to hide from them. No matter how rich or famous you are, mental illness (and substance addiction) is still a serious issue.

When you see someone die from a liver disorder and not through drinking yourself into oblivion but just pure bad luck but yet if they had got the treatment he got they would still be here. So I'm sorry I have no time for people like him that get a second chance at life and throw it back in people's faces makes me sick. So what if he's was a professional footballer or a celebrity if I did it I would be crucified mental illness there is help for it's not easy but it's there he had chance after chance he is just a selfish raving alcoholic who beat his wife to a pulp if it was the ordinary man he would hung. So no sorry Gazza no happy birthday from me.
