Anyone else think a cheeky loan punt for Fabregas would be worthwhile? Whether he would come is a different question, but he's not getting a look in at Chelsea so would live to see us at least make an enquiry.

He will not leave Chelsea, every Club needs a strong Squad and Fabregas is playing a part in Chelsea's. Aren't we trying to build the same.

That's not a bad shout Windsor mate. Actually surprised no other club has come in for him.

Besic is nearly fit again so it's going to be interesting who Koeman plays in midfield without adding anymore midfielders.

People saying Rooney shouldn't come bk because his age isn't cesc the same age

{Ed025's Note - rooney is 31 and cesc is 29 shakey..

It's scary he is only 29. He seems like he has been around for ever

He's far more creative than Besic. Like I say I can't see him coming to us, but surely it's worth asking the question.

He's been wasted at Chelsea because he's hardly played of late, so would imagine he'd look at a starting place in the premier league, especially given that we're hugely on the up.

We need a right winger a CB, LB and a GK before Cesc. There will also be yeams in the CLafter hi as well.

He's a good player but not at the top of his game and will be in decline. Our recent policy of buying young and in the ascendancy of their progress is a much better path to follow.

I think that was supposed to say "teams in the CL after him as well".

I agree we need this positions filling, but not necessarily ahead of a creative midfielder who can unlock teams that play very deep.

For me Robles deserves a run until the end of the season plus we look decent as we are playing three at the back which I think is a system Oviedo can do a job in if Baines is out.

My concern is that when we play teams who park the bus we don't seem to know how to break them down. Davies seems to bring the best out of Barkley and makes him more effective at breaking down stubborn defences, but the lad's still a teenager so can't possibly be expected to perform at this level in every game between now and May. Hope I'm wrong but would imagine he'll need a break before he breaks down, and Barkley doesn't look anywhere near as creative without him.

Also, if Barkley gets injured we have nothing creative in the side at all, whereas at least we have some options in the other positions you mention who could do a job for a game or two IMHO.

I also meant to put striker on the list.

I don't see Cesc moving Ross out of his position. This means like Rooney he would need to sit in the bench.

Not sure Cesc or Rooney would move from one bench to another.
