Maybe someone could explain to me what aspect of Holgate and Davies game today would indicate a huge gulf between the U21's and our first team? Also how the performance by Holgate and Davies today would indicate that they are not ready for first team duty?

They're going to be first team players soon but it's best you ease them into the side rather than throw them in.

It's not just the footballing side they have to be prepared for.

Young players should come into a team capable of supporting them, the expectation should not be the other way around.
