I'd like us to play 442 tomorrow working hard as a team getting stuck in showing a bit of passion defending with two banks of four and breaking fast if we get in to arsenal hard and don't stand off them we just never know here's hoping for a better performance all the best my fellow blues.

{Ed025's Note - sounds good to me billy..

You got me thinking there Tedster. So rather than my usual get on peoples nerves with Osman and Pienaar. how abouts . over the years we have had some great cliches with Everton. A few that spring tomind are: The Old Lady, Dogs of War, School of Science, Golden Vision, Bobby Latchford walks on water etc what are your favourites?

We all agree, Duncan McKenzie is magic, one goal at a tim Bob Latchford, and the Everton oh we love Everton, then going through each of our eighties winning team names. But the top of the cliches has to be the Gwladys Street will suck it into the net.

Tedster, as I have said before I (and quite a few others by the looks of it) am old School. It is not a popular view in this day and age but the business of football is winning, for me I would rather see my Team winning 1- 0 every week playing so-called ugly football than pretty pretty tappy tappy football and losing 1-0. Dogs of war it should be when you don't have the ball, double up in the tackle, remember the Team of the 80's half the time they had the game won before they stepped on the pitch.

{Ed025's Note - i know what your saying BCT but there is a happy medium, it is an entertainment business after all mate..

I am with Billscrocodiletears on this. I am not happy with a "happymedium" Ed. I want us winning at any cost. A bit like Morinhos teams. They start off ugly. But after a while they become entertaining. Look at that obnoxious character Costa up front for Chelsea. He is horrible, nasty and very hard working and a cheat. would you want his dogs of war attitude with us? I would. I would love him banging the goals in for us. Andy Gray? Graeme Sharp? Peter Reid? Need I go on? Then you add in Eden Hazard for the pretty stuff. and you have a blend. I am not trying to build Chelsea up. they are the legacy of Morinho and his cheating, dogs of war approach. Win at all costs and sort the other bits out later. Sir Alex Ferguson was the same. And don't tell me cheating is wrong. every time a player takes a throw in they try and gain a few yards. Every time they appeal for a throw that is not theirs they cheat etc etc.

{Ed025's Note - cheating is ok for me degsy, im only saying that i want to be entertained as well as having a winning mentality, there is as you have pointed out teams like chelsea who can do both, so you have just validated my point there mate..
