Hull City are refusing to comment on reports that former Blackburn Rovers keeper Bobby Mimms, 53, has been appointed goalkeeper coach. That's what you call a slow news day.

Bobby Mimms? There, s a man out there the greatest keeper in the world of his generation who would crawl over broken glass to take that job, how he has never been approached in the past is a mystery to me. Perhaps his tell it like it is way of talking would upset some people i don't know.

Jimmy c. You are reading my mind mate. The guy loves the club and surely would improve any keeper at any level. But you're right. He doesn't suffer fools and does not accept that football politics should be of more importance than results on the pitch.

Still I ask myself, why the hell is he not on the staff?!?
