Sorry to put a dampener on things but does everyone really feel like we have done well in this transfer market. I certainly don't think it has been great. it should have been much better . We were supposed to have a 100 million quid to spend. I see no evidence of that and here we are 2 days to go and apparently we will get so and so if so and so moves. blah blah blah. We will see in the next 2 days. I am not too confident if I am honest.

You have a certain amount coming in in your next pay-check, mate. Be stupid if you spent all of it just because its there, right? Same rules apply.

I think we've done OK tbh. decent keeper, strong centre back, fast winger. Could do with cover at rb and up top but think we'll surprise people this season.

Cant complain as we have not spent anything but strengthened our defence and midfield massively. if we carry on like that then happy days.
save the 100 mill for when we are in europe and can get the big hitters.

Not a 100 mill ad the stones money to that.

Clubs are waiting till the last minute to squeeze the most that they can. We done it to United with filani back when 28 mill od was a large sum. I can see us closing a few tomorrow. let's have a guess? Optimistic 4 more in for me.

The 100 mill does not apply to Moshri and his takeover that is just paper talk. Even so think about it, 100 mill for transfers also applies to agent fees, players wages etc! Then add that to existing players being offered enhanced contracts and 100 mill does not after all appear to be all that. Now the reality and the reality is that Everton are a very well run Club financially. We now have a much changed Managerial, Coaching, Scouting and Admin structure in place for the better and improved changes are ongoing. I reckon we have done very well indeed in a relatively short period of time. Have faith.

{Ed025's Note - amen to that BCT..

I think we have had a great window so far. We have bought 4 first 11 players all funded by the sale of stones. We need to remember that ffp is still in play, so I think it is wise to raise the wage bill with the quoted 100m instead of spending it all on the actual transfer fees. Also remember that we are Everton, we do most of our best business on deadline day (except Niasse💩)

I said in earlier posts that we would not sign a top name player like we was told we would and all I see at the moment is we have sold one of are best players which only last year we said was not for sale all a bit cloak and daggers if you ask me . Still not to sure what's going on at the club.

Agree BCT. if we could get rid of niasse, mcgeady and Kone and strengthen with those funds would be excellent business.
