Lukaku - according to the media stories - is willing to listen to what Mr Moshiri has to say. Really? What a nerve! Why would Mr Moshiri speak directly with any player? He may be the largest shareholder - the de facto owner - but he's not on the board and he would surely delegate all day-to-day matters to other people at the club.
As the largest shareholder (and, we expect, soon to have a majority shareholding) he will clearly influence which existing senior staff are retained and which new senior staff he'd like appointed, but he's not a football expert and he'd surely want these experts to deal with operational matters.
I reckon that Mr Moshiri is interested in getting the right senior people in place and setting a strategic plan for the club (on and off the field) and getting those right people to successfully carry out the plan.
The idea that the owner would kowtow to any player seems preposterous to me. It's up to the club staff - manager (and DoF? ) when appointed - to handle player negotiations, etc., with the backing of the club's recruitment team, legal (contracts, etc. ) staff, financial experts, etc.
No doubt one of the Eds can correct me on this subject (usually Ed002 knows what's what) .

We will see what sort of message Moshiri wants to send to the players through his manager Sid. That's why I like de Boer who according to his brother would "let him rot in the reserves". If a team wants to pay a ridiculous amount like 65M pounds then let him go otherwise let him spend some time in the U21's with Unsworth, sends a message to the other players especially the underachievers. We need a strong owner and a strong manager after luvvy Bill and everyone is wonderful brown shoes.

Spot on Sid. He's not worthy.
