Sorry for this one lads but latest news on GK situation, Martinez saying WE need to respect Tim Howard's contribution to the club?
Yes we (I believe) totally respect this guy, Top keeper.
So is this guy now admitting the supoprters were right to tell the manager of EFC that Tim had passed his sell by date, losing us at least 12 points whilst you pondered?

Martinez does talk a lot of BS but I think your reading too much into it Mushy. As far as I can see from your post all Martinez said was we need to respect TH's contribution to the club.

I have to agree we do. He does deserve respect for that. Simply that not taking in anything else you say. Could be wrong but as I said I think your taking too much from it.

If you read the full interview it seems to me that Robles is going to stay in goal and the back 4 stays the same that's what I took from it boys maybe I'm wrong but we will know by 2 o'clock I guess.

I thought the same Blueliam. I also think Martinez is right on this one. We should remember that despite his current form, that Howard was a top keeper not long back and responsible for many a shut out in seasons past. Especially under Moyes. I don't think it's asking too much for us to remember that.

But here's the point. I think most blues would be very much inclined to accept his point if he was to go with form and not sentiment.

Absolutely right toffee lad I think Martinez has a duty to pick the best team and in doing that he will protect what ever legacy howard has built up at the club it's all in Bobby's hands mate I do however think the light has finally came on (hopefully)
