I've had to turn the volume off on the TV, I can't possibly listen to Phil N monotone voice any more, I've had a hard day and he's getting right on my shinpads.

Is Glen Johnson genuinely the best England has for right back. Can't defend, because he is never back in time to do so. And can't cross at all.

Jack Wiltshire just runs straight into people.

Gerrard should never take direct free kicks. There are better free kick takers than him in the first 11

Fed up of hearing about Wayne Rooney work rate. He's a flair player for goodness sake, stop justifying hisplace by work ethic.

But all that will happen is that they will criticize the defence despite the fact that Jags kept it from being worse with his goal line clearance

{Ed025's Note - i think GJ is poor ace...but baines was not at his best either mate..

2.) 15 Jun 2014
You're right Ed, but he'll never in my opinion be at his best in an England shirt because the coach and other players just don't know how to play to his strengths.

Baines is one of the best examples ofpass and move iin the English game and sometimes the players fail to read his game.

Sorry toffee don't want to have a row but you don't pick team to play to the full back's strengths. Sometimes you just got to admit to having a bad day at the office

4.) 15 Jun 2014
So basically what your saying Ace, is that England lost because of every player who doesn't play for Everton?

Your spot on there Baz, his voice got on my nerves big time, ended up nearly crying with rage every time he opened his mouth, please no more, even tried the switch commentary to 5L but the picture went to SD which was unwatchable

Ed on the Baines comment mate, he was marking 2 men when Shrek was in front of him, Rooney needs dropping just a pity no manager has the balls

Glen J is simply awful, can't believe that's the best we have, shocking RB

Sterling was lively, pity he has one foot but still done more than every other player, cracking player and will link up great when the Ox is back next match

6.) 15 Jun 2014
No worries Degs. In a way it's the same thing. He wasnt at his best admittedly. I just think we will never see an England performance from him like we see at club level for the reasons I gave in my post.

You're spot on that England would not prioritize his strengths but that team formation just didn't help him at all.

7.) 15 Jun 2014
Baines wasn't great granted but he got very little help from Rooney down that left, was 2 v 1 all the time

8.) 15 Jun 2014
I think baines had a less than par performance because rooney was leaving him out to dry every time the italians attacked down the right

9.) 15 Jun 2014
Anyone would have struggled when each ti9me Italy were attacking down the right at Baines it was 2 v 1 because rooney is not a left midfielder and was not tracking either of the italian runners.

10.) 15 Jun 2014
If Rooney is dropped (not likely unfortunately) who plays in his place? Personally I'd put Barkley there but I'm not the manager.

{Ed025's Note - its a pity your not azul.. :)

11.) 15 Jun 2014
Rooney won't be dropped because if he is and England lose that will be the focal point, at least we were more attacking last night and we definitely deserved a point but with Costa Rica winning its still all to play 4

12.) 15 Jun 2014
I would still not start Barkley just use him as an impact sub, on the Rooney front if Sterling is preferred to him in the central role then I don't see why he is selected on the left, he left Baines isolated on more then 1 occasion, I wouldd play a front 3 of Milner on the left, Sterling Central and Ox on the right. I expect to be shot down over Milner but he offers the work rate as mentioned about Rooney but he is more tactically aware of his position when we are not in possession of the ball. And another thing I noticed last night is are we going to have another Gerrard Lampard situation with Barkley and Wilshere as it looks like Jack doesn't like the competition of not being England's saviour!

{Ed025's Note - i agree gray, except lallana for milner, and also jack wheelchair is vastly overrated imo, and should never be chosen over ross..

13.) 15 Jun 2014
Just think Milners experience ed would see me giving him the nod over lallana but see your point with lallana being a lot more mobile he offers a better out ball for a quick counter attack. Still think England managers are scared to drop certain players due to overhyped egos.
