Gareth Barry has his critics but after yesterdays game he should be getting praised.yes he is 32 but we had neville in the same position for years and he isn't a natural DM like barry. Best bit of buisness getting 27 mil for fella and bringing barry in on loan.and naismith was a big plus for me. made up for the lad and deserved his standing ovation

Agree mate. Even once he played at Aston he played left back. But his skill is excellent.

I've always been supportive of RM, but must admit I was never keen on the signing of Barry, as for Naismith I thought he might have moved on in the summer.
Happy to eat humble pie!
As good as any debut from Barry. I wonder if Naismith has just had a Barry Horne! We might just see a different player with the fans off his back.

I thoght Barry was the ideal link between defence and attack. Don't know were that leaves Gibson though.

Barry was class yesterday and definitely one of the reasons we won. All young English midfielders should watch him cause that's how a defensive midfielder should play. You know how good a player is when the come straight in and look like they have been there all their career and that's what he done IMO. Really good result yesterday can't wait for next game. COYB

Iv always singed felli's praises, but Barry to me was a different level, slotted in there perfect, age and experience! Consistent right through, and to me helped speed up play which we were lacking last 3, of course chelski also forced the tempo to be upp'd but Barry held it in there! McCarthy come on and also made a difference, put himself around good. Was happy to see Kevin deployed up front, maybe this could be a better position for him, rolling off defenders and running. Good day and happy to see RM has been able to get players in to start his transition of the team.
