So in his time at Wigan, Roberto Martinez valued James McCarthy at £20m? Yet, he's just bid £7m for him. Is this what you would call a 'derisory and insulting' offer?

I'd say it was. but I think it was Dave wheel an who put the 20 m price tag. not Martinez. I would say 11-12m is a fair price. but no more. kagawa was 10m Capone was 9. I can't see how McCarthy would be much more than this 2. before anyone bangs on about fellainis price tag. he's proven and can play a number of different roles. yet to be demonstrated by the players I have just mentioned. No, an offer to high lol

Umm i'm sorry hasn't McCarthy proved he is prem quality? Kags went for 16 because of having 1 year left on his contract as did capoue

Yes CTR he has proved he is prem quality but he's hardly in the Fellaini league is he?.£20 mill is a joke I would not pay more than £12 mill for him and you have already stung us with Kone so do one.

CRT. I concede on kagawa. may have got price wrong. as for 1 yr on their contracts. I think McCarthy has 2. That said McCarty isn't a proven, seasoned Internationale. nor is he (yet) as versatile as fellainis. or Capoue. but what are u falling to understand here. our old manager has acted in appropriately in so many ways. Martinez has said nothing on the utd bid. nor the McCarthy bid. only the board made comments. we are negotiating properly. also tell me this fellainis is worth 25+m. he's proven his worth. McCarthy hasn't yet. so he has to be much cheaper than felli.jcl
