Why would Moyes bid an amount he knew would not even be in the ball-park? Davey and BK surely would have a chat before a formal bid was made. And why would Everton release the information if it would trigger the players requesting a transfer? And if it were Man U who leaked the info, why would they include the 'insulting' part, suggesting they don't value the players enough? Conspiracy theories to consider:

A) BK wants to make it look like he has played hard-ball before selling to avoid the public slaughter he will get when he eventually sells them

B) BK trying to flush out the players requests to move early enough to respond

Anyone else smelling something a bit fishy here?
