Now that whelan has put a farcical £20m price tag on McCarthy, Tottenham are supposedly the favourite to sign him; if they do, I reckon we go after Holtby. Great player who can't get a place in their squad. Huge everton fan as well and says it is his 'dream' to play for us. Should have got him last year for 2m, but that's moyes for you, but could get him now for under 10m now.

First off holtby said he supported everton then said he like the way arsenal play then he said he wantted to join liverpool then arsenal offer him a contract so he could wait and go to us for free (his dream move) or go to arsenal for about 45 to 50k a week but then joins tottenham (spits in arsenals face and us) and goes on 65k a week he isn't interested in us he just wants money money money don't want him at our club plus when I have seen him play for tottenham or schalke he was pretty poor just looks like a quicker james milner

the player has admitted himself he is not an everton fan his dad is but he is not

The first time I ever heard of him was on a radio station. they were talking about him deciding whether to play for England or Germany as he was able to play for both. They interviewed him and he said he supports Everton because of his dad. Doesn't mean we should sign him though!

It was Holtbys dad who was the Evertonian not him. If you watch him play he seems to spend a lot of time chasing shadows. not for us.
