He will have to pull his socks up then Ed, this is a points game, how the heck we have ever got 33 points is beyond me playing like we have lately mate.

{Ed025's Note - we started off quite brightly thats why GB but lately something has really gone wrong, for me we need to lose the zonal marking as the players we have at our disposal are not comfortable with it (at least silva,s version of it), we also need to bench players who are not performing, siggy in particular and richie and gomes need to be taken out of the firing line for me even if its only for a couple of games, he needs to admit something is wrong and change things even if it fails to work, i want him to succeed but he is doing himself no favours at all at the moment mate..

If we lose to city is he still going to be there Ed.

{Ed025's Note - im not sure shogs but if this rubbish getting served up at the moment continues...then i dont hold out much hope for him mate..

We are in this situation because of to many poor decisions on managers, he needs time it’s not good but you can see from this window we have to shed deadwood before we can move forward, otherwise we will keep plugging holes with the wrong signings and no proper plan to go forward!

{Ed025's Note - it has to improve wakka and shortly, we do need stability mate i agree but there has to be signs that we are heading in the right direction or believe you me the axe will fall mate..

It’s the lack of passion that gets me. And it’s pain me to say but I wish we had a manager that showed his passion like Klopp and even the wolves manager.

{Ed025's Note - it does make a difference eddy and gets the fans on side which is a really good thing..

One constant we start slowly get put under pressure and the nerves set it, it quietens the crowd and the opposition push on!
Every single game! Where is the motivation in the team from the start? This is down to the manager and senior pros! Younger players look so nervous.

No other Manger could sort this Everton team out, it was the same under Koeman Unsworth Allardyce and now Silva, they are just not good enough, if the whole team were put up for sale only Pickford would be sort after the rest not sure what valve or what division if any.

Have to disagree it's a good squad of players, the tactics are misguided too reliant on pickford as a playmaker. Zonal defending or man to man makes no difference if no defender attacks the ball. Keane makes more errors than Holgate ever did. Go back to a familiar 442 or 352 get richarlison and dcl upfront.

The massive problem is not Silva it was the recruitment over the last 3 seasons and that’s what he has been left with to sort out, impossible situation in my opinion.

Agree to a point but a manager has to get the best out of what he has and this guy does not.

The "problem" is made up of lots of pieces to this jigsaw. Changing managers is part of the problem, but unfortunately because this manager isn't working out, it's got to happen again. He has demonstrated he can't work with/ motivate what he has got to work with. Part of the problem is he's not inspirational, I can't believe his demeanour changes to what we all see, when he is working with the players and staff.

Yes, a helluva lot of these players aren't "good enough" but it will take time to replace them, at least 5 transfer windows. What I would expect is an honest assessment and get rid of the worse offenders and bring in players who are young, keen and passionate about wanting to improve our club.

We need leaders not journeymen or depressive head down types (Jimmy Mc clones! ) The next manager choice HAS to be right, talk about pivotal moment in our history. I trust Brandts is the right man and Moshiri has put his money where his mouth is. Silva to me is another AVB or Avram Grant, seen as "the next big thing" but ultimately found wanting.

A manager like Benitez (preferably Benitez) is what I believe what we need. Problem is there aren't too many around. A positive outlook would be the first thing I'd have on the job advert. Not saying change now, unless we get the right man, but certainly need a new man in place by season end.

Good post mate, just look at Ole at Man U for a young manager, as some are saying what about Arteta, reckon he would jump at the chance with Tim Cahill backing him up to manage Everton.
