Ed002, you mentioned yesterday that Chelsea had pulled out of pursuing Bernard because he was a bit light weight for the league. Reports today are saying they could still come back in. Do you know if there is any truth to these reports? Or has their stance not changed.

Lightweight? Never understood this term. If that’s the case surely when the likes of Silva and Coutinho come to the Prem they were also “lightweight”? Players adapt.

I agree BitterBlue. Was it Joninhio who played for Middlesbrough years ago who was about 6 stone soaking wet? There are plenty of examples of small players that made it in the premier league.

They get more protection these days too. It’s more whether they can adapt to the culture and the climate - living in Ukraine should mean Liverpool will be cosmopolitan by comparison.
