This whole Usmanov story is weird. Because reading reports. Kroenke doesn't want to buy him out and who is going to spend 700m on no say. Right now seems highly unlikely.

I'm pretty sure that 30% shares in Arsenal will sell a little easier than you think.
Have people lost their minds in the sun?

If you had £600m would you buy 30% shares that don't get you a seat on the board and don't get you a say in the running of the club? Kroenke doesn't need them as he already has a majority shareholding. Usmanov's best hope is that Kroenke wants to de-list the club on the Stock Exchange which would require total ownership and allow him to do what he wants with it.

He doesn't have to sell them all to one person. There might be a few people willing to buy some of his shares. Fingers crossed.

Thats true Blueray but I'm sure he would want them sold in one hit.

Even a multi-billionaire wouldn’t spend that amount on shares unless he could have a say in the running of the club or could sell his holding for a profit later on.

Mowfee82 Kroenke countered the offer that Usmanov made to buy his shares in Arsenal silent Stan WILL buy them off him should he decide to sell and if I was in a position where I had £700m worth of shares in a company and no actual say in how it was run I would sell and move on to something else.

£600 million of arsenal shares will give you a better return than investing in a bank, arsenal is all about profit.

chairlie571: are the profits from income (dividends) or when you sell the shares?
