Yep. I was going to say. In was surprised at earlier rumours that he wouldn't confirm for a " few weeks" that didn't sound plausible. Good times. Feels a big step to erasing the last year. COYB.

I know what you mean I'm already a much happier supporter the only problem is trying not to get carried away after what happened last summer.

Come on Bluey. Why is always on or off hot or cold. As fans we all need to be a little less bipolar.
You can enjoy this.

Sam has gone, we can move on. No need now for cudda, wudda, shudda. He's history, as is Koeman, Martinez, Moyes et al.

Brands is the big positive. He now has time to see who he and the club can appoint in the "Head Coach" role. Then a team around him can take the club forward over the next 5 years. If we are having this conversation again before that then we are in danger of becoming Sunderland.

Personally, now Brands is in, I would like to see if we could also get Cocu from PSV. Just won their league, plays attacking football and could attract players like Lozano, De Vrij and the lad Jahanbaksh from AZ67.

Not convinced with Silva, doesn't stay long after initial impact and his win rate not very good.

Exciting 12 weeks ahead. Add to an ok squad with quality and weed out the bluffers and hangers on.

No, i agree with BLUE79. We can't just forget what a bad season last season was and that we need some massive changes.

Yes, Brands is a great start and to get him in early is vital. But i remember being in the same position last year when we got Koeman and Walsh in. No one is telling me that they weren't excited. Koeman for his value in world football and how well he did at Saints and then Walsh winning the league with Leicester. Look how that turned out.

I am as positive as they come but maybe the fact we all expected so much last summer, coupled with the bad start, made things worse.

There are still a lot of weeds that need digging out of the club. Getting the right manager in is massive for us. I don't want to be getting another manager in, in the next 12 months. It makes the club look shiteeeeee.

God knows who we are going to get, I think most out there, that we can actually bring in are risks.

Its great to see changes being made, but i think it would be better to not get all hyped up again, until we start seeing changes transferred on to the pitch.

Up the blues.
