I'm pretty sure allardyce is going, dad was speaking to Sammy Lee on Friday, they're old friends and he said as much. Think it will be Silva coming in. If it is let's all get behind him. Let's face it pretty much anyone will be a risk. Silva oozes class and I think he'll jump in head first and do a great job. If his head gets turned in a season or two then it will only mean he's doing a good job so will be beneficial to us.

I don’t doubt you, but I’d be disappointed if club staff spoke about such matters - even to close friends - unless it was in the strictest confidence and certainly not before anything was officially announced.
Anyway, it’s pretty much an open secret - it’s just taking far too long for the club to get everything signed, sealed and delivered.

He doesn't know for certain himself, he just said the vibe they're getting is that they're both going to be off.
Hopefully any day now!

It's not been 24 hours since the last game. No rush.

I think there is a rush, as we need the new management structure in place to make sure the pre-season is effective and the transfer window trading isn’t rushed at the last moment.

Every hour that passes with Sam in charge is a wasted one.

So rush everything again and hope the chips fall in a good way this time? Or take zero notice of fans and do their job?

The club has had months to be making arrangements, let alone enquiries, for the required changes. If they’re not fully prepared, then imho they’ve been derelict in their duty. If they haven’t been preparing - and have left themselves in a knee-jerk rushed situation - then dame on them.

No rush I been waiting from the first day the idiot came, we need one now, he has to get his feet under the table, and sort the NEW squad out, and the back-room staff, it will soon be September.

So let get me this straight. On one hand, the coach we've apparently been offering jobs to, whilst still working at another club possibly? Isn't right for the job because they've failed due diligence (likely because they still have a job to do) ?

And we want B.s. out before anyone has signed a contract?

And the new coach (Whoever) needs to get his feet under the table now? To sort the squad out?
The squad that's just finished for the summer? Or the new squad? Is 5his the squad the new coach puts together or is this the DOF job? Whoever that is?

Ok all makes sense. Rush it again upstairs!

When FM appointed SA he knew it was for a temporary period. If in that time he has approached and agreed contractual terms with his chosen team, then cometh the hour it should all slip into place. If not then he is obviously not the business man we think he is. If he has already agreed appointments then those appointments themselves will be working in the background looking at the personnel they do or don't require before the start of the season (coaching and playing staff) . Surely FM will not let another RK scenario happen. I would not be surprised that when SA goes the new team is announced before the world cup starts.

Nick, this is Everton. When have you known us do anything ahead of schedule?

Yeah well probably why we are not in the top 6 and winning silverware. Those teams do plan ahead. Silly me to think we could as well :-)

NickB57: exactly - we’re not advocating rushed panicky knee-jerk reactions; we want the club to have been carefully planning for a while and now carrying out these plans swiftly and effectively.
