Everton manager Sam Allardyce does not believe Arsenal's Olivier Giroud will be moving to Goodison Park in January as the striker's wife does not want to move north of Watford. (Liverpool Echo) 

But the Toffees have shown an interest in Besiktas' German-born Turkish international striker Cenk Tosun, 26. (Daily Mail) 

I know nothing of this Tosun lad but thought Giroud would have done a job for us.

{Ed002's Note - So the Cenk Tosun situation. The week before last representatives of Besiktas were in London for a meeting with Chelsea over another player. Whilst there, they discussed Tosun with two other interested sides. Everton also had someone senior in London at that time and there was a discussion with Besiktas - and it was likely about Tosun. They have taken the stance of not wanting to sell and saying if they did he would cost a great deal of money. If the money were good enough, they would sell.}

I’d like us to go for batshayui I know we probably won’t have any chance but I think he could do a very good job given the job. If not dembele then benteke even though they are all a risk.

Batshuyi is not rated highly by many Chelsea fans also he cannot lead the front line which is what we need, I cannot see Everton having any interest in him.
