Sam giz-a-bung Allardice says (on talk sport) he's not in negotiations and/ or contract talks with Everton and says reports to the contrary are rubbish. It's hard to know who would be the best candidate, Rhino, Dyche, Silva, Sam, Simeone, Another, but I think it's too soon to hit the panic button just yet. Maybe give Rhino a few more games then take stock?

You have to think that a lot of the speculation is coming from bookmakers they are in for a quiet 10 days with none of the top leagues playing.

{Ed002's Note - BK would like to give Unsworth longer. Paulo Fonseca remains the one that FM wants but is very unlikely to get. SW wants Sam Allardyce and Craig Shakespeare. They really need to take advice to sort this out.}

ED02 they need to throw Walsh out if he thinks sam and craig are what's best for our club has Walsh been hitting the whiskey or has Sam offered him a nice little bonus if he gets him the job either way the man seems out of his depth from a poor transfer window in the sense that koeman shouldn't shoulder all the blame for so many no10s being bought and now this i'm sorry but he looks like another mistake.

Walsh needs sorting out otherwise we might well be buying 3 number 8s and 2 more no1s in January.

Ed is Fonseca unlikely because of timing (i. e. mid season) or is it club related (i. e. reluctant to move to us) or is it some other reason (s) ?

{Ed002's Note - He would like to move to England at some point but Everton would not be attractive to him and it would not be a good time because of the Champions League.}

Ed002, do you rate Fonseca? I know damn all about him. Just that he never stays at any club for long. Nearly a new club every season, but like I said I know nothing about him really.

{Ed002's Note - Yes he is very well thought of and he was kicked out of Porto for failing to win the league - I would need to check but I think his contract is up for renewal in the summer - perhaps next December.}

Ed do you think Fonseca is likely to be appointed at one of the top 6? If not, who else in England would be attractive to him? Is it a London thing?

{Ed002's Note - I really can’t answer if he will be joining any of the top 6.}

Of course not; sorry, Ed. Allow me to rephrase the question: do you think that Fonseca is the calibre of manager who might be of interest to one of the top six, if a vacancy were to become available?

{Ed002's Note - It is certainly possible but perhaps not next time around for most of them. Certainly thinking of the next two or three who are going to be probably changing first have other ideas in mind.}

Thanks, Ed. So coming to the EPL will need to be a long-term plan for him? Or are there other clubs he would consider above Everton? As I said above, perhaps London clubs?

{Ed002's Note - He will want to be managing a Champions League Side - and he is only one of many coaches who would want to move to England. Clearly London would be more attractive that Merseyside with the dead and dying pit ponies lining the wet cobblestoned streets.}

Don't knock the dead and dying ponies, Ed - that's free meat. Got to be a draw for anyone. And these hobnailed boots last for ages. That's at least two advantages we have over Monaco.
