kind of odd the way swans are handling this you would think that now gylfi has had his head turned and by all accounts he has efc and swans would get around a table and thrash out a price. swansea at this point are doing themselves a dis-service imo they are trying to get a bidding war going without regard for what the player wants why else would they not negotiate and keep announcing failed bids. this is the reason good players don't go to small clubs. the worst case now for swans is if we pull out gylfi will never be the same again while at that club. that is if he wants to be part of the efc revolution. let's see how long ross is an efc player now city have walker and spurs have money to spend i bet we don't engage in this gylfi crap like swans.

{Ed002's Note - No, they simply want the best price for their player. You make an offer that is acceptable and then clubs can sit down and talk detail of the payments etc..}

I have to disagree with you Swansea are doing what we or any club do they want the best possible price just like we did with felliani stones lukaku the difference here is they rely heavily on Sigs so will want as much as possible if we want him we will have to overpay which doesn't bother me it's not my money.

yeh perhaps i should have said the player wants to come to efc, he told swans a week ago. what we did with lukaku is sell him to a club that met our valuation however swans have upped they're price twice now and refused to meet they're own original valuation, the price they are asking for is very unrealistic. it was originally 40 mill. stones, lescott deals premium was paid because they were english important for champions league. i have no probs with any team getting the most for their assets just making it public as they did with leicesters bid for the player. if you look back at lescott deal man city chased the player for 2 years and this annoyed moyes he felt man city's boot in his neck, and stones was told so much by the press that he had to move that the hype that surrounded him had nohing to do with efc's valuation rather more to do with the belief that he was a future leader of england team (what a joke that has turned into ) they put a price on gylfi's head we have met it and now the price has gone up nearly 20 mill this lad will have probs living up to the expectation of any move to us. you have to remember any player is human and the price paid by any team is the noose that fans tend to hang players with when it's not going right. swans no he wants the efc move and yet they are trying to sell him to the highest bidder that's my issue, and how fans can relate this situation to lukaku is odd we put a 100 million price on his head rom wanted to go to man u so we dealt with them for 75 so rom's noose at old trafford isn't as bad as it could be manu and rom can feel good about the deal and we feel good trying to close our wallet (it just won't close ) lol . they are doing themselves and gylfi a dis-service because they keep moving the goal posts name a price and stick to it.

I agree with ED002 on this. He was not put up for sale so they are looking for the best price available, we have come in with an offer and it was not acceptable. I have not seen any official indication that Swansea have actually put a price on what he is worth and have consistently said they do not want to sell him. As far as I am aware all the references to how much he will cost and what has been rejected has come from the media not vai an official statement from either of the interested parties. If we want him and it suits both parties we will get him.
