Giroud rumours doing the rounds again this morning. He'll likely be moving if Lacazette moves to Arsenal and I think he'd be a good fit for us for the next couple of seasons. Do we know if any real interest has been shown?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach to Arsenal by Everton but another club has talks scheduled for, I believe, Tuesday - or possibly Wednesday in London. If Everton have moved interest to Giroud then they need to talk with Arsenal.}

surely he would only come to us for the wages. would prefer we went for other targets than Giroud, let him go back whence he came. france, he is just another over valued, overrated player imo plus if he was all that why are the gunners so keen to replace him. why not one of they're other forwards not for me hope this one gets lost to the annuls of time.

I used to think that floats but then I started watching him and boy that guy can head a ball not too shabby with his feet either and his hold up play well it's like a ice cold beer on a hot hot day it's that good as ED02 said we have not shown any interest as of yet but I would take him.

"Only coming to us for the wages"

I doubt he's coming for the pies 😂😂.

It goes without saying that he'd command a good wage, why wouldn't he? He's a top international striker. If he played 30 games up top, he'd deliver 15 goals at least. Bluey is spot on, his hold up play is as good as any striker in the league - with Sandro, Klassen and one or two others running off him, we could be deadly!

He had the second best goals per minute ratio in the premier league last season. Only overtaken by Kane in the last couple of games. I think he'd work really well with Sandro, Lookman, Bolasie and, dare I say, Siggurdson. I think he's exactly the sort of player we need if we're prepared to play a more attacking game next season.

Giroud is a proper target man who can head a ball and play with his back to goal, I would love to see him at Everton.

{Ed025's Note - i like him gray but he will not come to sit on the bench, i believe sandro is the same and it will take some creative persuasion or a change of tactics to keep them both happy mate...and there may be more to come..

Sandro can play either side of a main striker in a 3 Ed so the 2 can work together, once Bolasie is fit, just think how scary we could be with him and Sandro either side of a striker of Girouds calibre, look at how our neighbours done goals wise with a similar setup. The reason we struggled for goals when Rom was off par was because we were one dimensional and it was easy for opponent's, stop Lukaku and you stop Everton, we need striking options to compete so Giroud should still be a goer as he can play as a lone striker, in a 2 or a 3 and that gives us options. We definitely need another striker as well as Sandro, and we couldn't go wrong with Giroud, add to that his name fits into a Beatles song so its a winner already.
