Givern events with the Irish management in the earleyer part of the season, if there was any consern about James MaCarthy fitness, why was he allowed to travel?
Everton pay the boys wages, they took the piss last time, playing him in almost two full games in three days afder being out with an injury and on his return took weeks to recover.
I don't know what the international rules are on releaseing players but the IFA are abusing the regulations, if they have forced the situation.

FIFA rules mean the club can't stop him from travelling if he is called up by his country. The national side have the right to check his fitness in person and not rely on the word of the club. Failure to release him means he can't play club football for the duration of the international games should the club have any fixtures scheduled.
