Well the rumours of a double swoop for depay and schneiderlein seem to be persisting. The thing is both players together would cost about 45 to 50m for the two. So I'm just wondering how much we have to spend.

Also wondering if there would be anymore signings if we do land these two. What does everybody else think.

Efcfanatic if we do sign depay and schniderlin then I think there will be more money available because ronnie has indicated he wants a few players in January and it's obvious to everyone that we lack quality going forward we need a striker, creative midfielder who is a goal threat and solid central defender i would go for a younger defender as we have enough old defenders at our club do I think we will get all these players in January no but that is what we need in my opinion.

I would imagine the 30 mill we nearly blew on sisoslow is still available plus any money from sales at the very least.

Forget about how much you think a player is worth or how much money you think the club has available to spend. It's all Monopoly money these days and spending is subject to financial fair play regulations. I suggest that we just hope that the squad is much stronger by the end of the transfer window.

{Ed025's Note - as much as i want some players brought in sid i hope we dont panic buy, i hope walsh has done his homework and we dont go for mercenaries like sissoko or the like even if thats what the fans crave mate..

From Mr Moshiri's comments about funds and transfers I don't think money is really going to be the issue at this stage I feel it will be more about trying to get players to buy into the project as right now despite some improvements we still have some of the same old issues.
Also if reports from the summer were true and Koeman had £100m war chest then balancing the books after the Stones sale and who we brought in we hardly dipped into that sum if what some press say was correct.

Sniderlan would be a great signing . Had a bad time at untd but a Southampton was one of the best cm in the league . I would stay clear of depay he's not better that wat we, v got now .
